The Department of Children and Families (DCF) works with families and communities to keep children safe from abuse and neglect. This state agency is able to provide support and services to provide child safety and, when necessary, provide foster care or finds new housing for children. DCF also has support for young adults 18-22 who are transitioning to independent living.

The Unemployment Insurance (UI) program overseen by The Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA), can provide temporary income assistance to eligible workers in MA. If you have lost your job, you may be eligible for temporary income through UI, and we advise you to apply for unemployment benefits during your first week of full, or partial unemployment.
